Preservation of natural areas We are an agro-industrial company: all our products grow from our soil.

We consider that environmental and natural resources protection is essential to create value on a sustainable basis, therefore, we strongly commit to respect the Principles included in our Environmental Policy

Located at Valle San Francisco (a valley in the province of Jujuy) Ledesma facilities are surrounded by a mountainous sub-tropical forest, also known as “Yungas”. This territory, together with the forest of the province of Misiones represents only 2% of the continental area of the country but keeps 50% of the diversity of its flora and fauna.

Any productive activity produces an impact on the natural ecosystem. In Ledesma we aim.
Conscious about its responsibility, Ledesma understands that manufacturing activities cause an impact on the natural ecosystem, therefore, not only do we focus on mitigating such impact but we also work on causing a positive impact on the ecosystem where we operate.

CALILEGUA NATIONAL PARK FOUNDATION INITIATIVE

In 1975, Ledesma donated 76,320 hectares for the creation of Calilegua National Park. The park is the largest area in the country devoted to the conservation of the “Yungas” and the one having the biggest bio-diversity.
