Ledesma’s Integrated Annual Report

The Integrated Annual Report is one single document including the company’s Annual Report, Balance Sheet and Sustainability Report. Ledesma is the first agro-industrial company in Argentina to adopt this reporting model. Its Integrated Annual Report uses the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards stating its contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The company presented the issuance of its 2021 Integrated Annual Report in an event held in Jujuy and chaired by Javier Goñi, Ledesma’s CEO, with the attendance of the company’s  executives, Jujuy province government’s officers and special guests. In his speech, Javier Goñi outlined the company’s long-term vision and commented on the company’s latest projects. He highlighted that during the last Fiscal Year, Ledesma has been working on three main pillars: digital transformation, cultural transformation and innovation. As an example, he mentioned the development of a predictive model based on artificial intelligence that will improve the management of 40,000 hectares of sugarcane, simulating scenarios with different biological and weather conditions, and providing for accurate information for decision-making processes.

Javier Goñi also announced that the company’s goal is to reduce Greenhouse Gases (GHG) by approximately 25% by 2030, taking the 2015 baseline as a starting point. He added that the company will also contribute to the construction of a new Hospital called “Hospital Orías” to be located in Libertador, by donating 3 hectares of land for that purpose. Then, he also announced the creation of Ledesma Industrial Park, which will create more industries and increase employment rates in the company’s area in Jujuy.
